From the City:
the installation of the new markings, flex-posts and signs on Cambridge Street which will begin this Sunday evening, Aug. 20th. The installation will be done in phases and expected to be wrapped up within a few days if all (including weather) goes as planned. This exciting project was the result of great collaboration and an extensive public outreach effort by all of the stakeholders of this group, so thank you for your help and participation in the project! Final plans for the project may be found on the project web page at: http://www.cambridgema.gov/CDD/Projects/Transportation/cambridgestreetbicyclesafetydemonstrationproject
Please see the installation flyer that is both attached here and pasted below giving more information about the project and the installation. Temporary signs are also being posted on the street prior to installation with information about the new parking arrangement. Please help get the word out about the installation by sending this information along to your groups and colleagues. For questions and coordination during the installation process, please contact Patrick Baxter, City Traffic Engineer, whose contact information is at the bottom of the flyer.
